Uniform

We have introduced a school uniform. This is practical for parents and children, avoiding damage to clothes and ensuring children are warm during colder days. We strongly advise your child wears the uniform we can provide.

The uniform includes a polo shirt and zip-through fleece with the Brambles logo embroidered on them. We also advise trousers be worn which will limit grazed knees on the tarmac surface outside.

The uniform is provided embroidered at the following costs:

  Sizing Price

Waterproof Jacket & Trousers 1-2 years, 3-4 years and 5-6 years £20.00
Fleece 1-2 years, 3-4 years and 5-6 years £14.00
Polo Shirts 1-2 years, 3-4 years and 5-6 years £8.50

* Optional

Settling In

After an initial visit we would allow the child to settle into Brambles at their own pace, every child is different and some may need more support than others. This will be discussed and decided by all those involved.

Toileting

Children can attend Brambles pre-school from two years of age until they go to school. We try to be flexible with the needs of each child and move them forward through the pre-school when we feel they are ready.

We ask that you provide nappies, wipes and a change of clothes for your child; staff will check each child and change them during the session as required.

If your child uses the potty, or is starting to use the toilet, staff are here to help encourage your child develop the skills required.

Pre-school children have free access to the bathroom, allowing them to gain confidence and independence in a supervised environment.

Snack

We allow children to do as much for themselves as possible e.g. pouring drinks or spreading butter, depending on their abilities. The snacks provided are healthy options such as fruit, vegetables or toast. Milk and water is provided to drink. Snack time is a social time and staff and children join in to discuss the morning activities and children are encouraged to use good manners.
