We have just had our application accepted from Awards and All Lottery Grants! What fantastic news! This has been applied for, for the outdoor and indoor space. We have been lucky enough to receive £6528.00 which will buy all new ICT equipment, new furniture and easels, and create a fantastic new sensory room to name but a few things. This has all been ordered now so look out for all the new exciting equipment we will be receiving over the coming weeks.

We have just had our Area Board Grant accepted, this grant has been applied for, for the Outdoor space at Brambles. There will be an outdoor classroom, outdoor easels, new bikes and trikes, friendship tables, new outdoor construction toys and an outdoor nature/bird area for the children. Some of this has been constructed over the Christmas period. Please keep a look out for these exciting changes to the setting, allowing us to take full advantage of the outdoor space.

A Letter from your Chairman

I would like to officially introduce myself to you, my name is Rachel Busby and I am Bramble's Chairman. I am currently finishing my BA HONS Outdoor Adventure Management degree, and have a brackground in management and outdoor activities.

I have always enjoyed the aspect of outdoor learning and the importance of it in any child's education. It helps them gain a practical understanding of the world around them, whilst building self-confidence, testing their abilities leading them to take the managed risks and develop a sense of responsibility and tolerance towards places and people. This is one of the many reasons why I am so passionate about what we do at Brambles.

We have a wonderfully supportive commitee of parents, who are keen to see the most successful outcome to Brambles.

I am keen to keep you all informed with our plans as a new setting, as well as welcoming any new ideas you may have. I am pleased to announce that our Area board grant application has been accepted. This will create a new outdoor classroom for the children, including new play and construction toys. It is a very exciting project, please look out for more details, once complete we would love for you to all come and visit us for another 'Breakfast at Brambles'.

We are always welcoming new committee members, so if anyone knows of anyone who may be interested please get in touch with us at Brambles.

Thank you for all your continued support,

Rachel Busby, Chairman.
