Brambles Pre School Figheldean

...to the Brambles Pre-School website. Brambles opened its doors on September 12th with great support from the community members. The school caters for children from two years old up to school age. We are promoting the Forest School ethos of access to the outdoors and promoting interest in the world through respect for nature.

We are a small charity run setting in a fantastic location next to woodland. Children enjoy the security that we offer as well as the opportunity to discover the outdoors using the surrounding area and local community. Our caring and enthusiastic staff, along with a supportive committee, are dedicated to the welfare and education of young children. We aim for individualised learning and happiness using a variety of play based learning styles in the form of a well-balanced curriculum.

We aim to offer children an outdoor learning environment in which to play and explore the world around them. Our aim is to make the most of the British weather, using it as a learning opportunity and enhancing a child's development through first hand experiences. Staff will be undertaking forest school training over the next year giving them a greater knowledge of the concept of outdoor education and all the benefits it brings.
